Linda began exploring fiber art as a weaver in 1996. She was introduced to needle felting at the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival in 2000, and began exploring aspects of the medium soon thereafter. She has studied felting with Sharon Costello, Jorie Johnson, Chad Alice Hagan, Pat Spark and others. Linda gets her inspiration for her art from nature. Having spent her childhood summers in the mountains of Pennsylvania, she developed a love of the natural world that is reflected in her work. She makes sketches or takes photographs as a foundation for her felted pieces. The majority of her work depicts the natural world, often including water as an element. She has worked in a variety of mediums, including clay, paint and paper, but prefers the tactile nature of the felting process. Her felt pieces combine wet and needle felting techniques.
